Meet Ryder

From an early age, Ryder Grimes has been deeply rooted in the music world. First taking the stage at just 9 years old, he has devoted thousands of hours to perfecting his craft, evolving into the standout performer he is today. Raised on a rich blend of traditional and Texas country music, Grimes draws inspiration from ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s legends such as Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley and Tracy Lawrence, as well as Texas stars like Randy Rogers, Deryl Dodd and Charlie Robison.

Grimes’ breakthrough came with the support of producer Deryl Dodd, who played a key role in shaping his sound. His debut release on Texas radio, “Velvet Chains,” quickly made waves, earning a Top 10 spot on the Texas charts and capturing the attention of industry leaders and country music fans alike. Since then, he has achieved significant milestones, including two number one songs on Texas radio with “In My Boots” and “8 Seconds at a Time.” His talent and dedication have also been recognized with two prestigious industry awards: “New Male Vocalist of the Year” at the 2024 Texas Regional Radio Awards and “Emerging Artist of the Year” at the 2023 Texas Country Music Awards.

Grimes has performed in major venues such as Cain’s Ballroom and Gruene Hall and has shared the stage with an impressive lineup of artists, including Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen, Mike Ryan, Joe Nichols, Jake Worthington, Lukas Nelson, Gary Allan, Moe Bandy, Gene Watson and Zach Top, to name a few.

Beyond his Texas achievements, Grimes spends time in Nashville, where he collaborates with acclaimed songwriters who have written hits for Garth Brooks, Cody Johnson and Morgan Wallen. This year, he has also taken his live shows outside the Lone Star State on his first cross-country tour where he continues to earn fans and solidify his place in country music.
